Had a wee bit of spin time this weekend, so made a present for the wife. And yes, it was loosely based around a poular February theme:-D

A Purpleheart box and finial, with a spalted beech inset lid. All finished with some texture courtesy of a dremel and, voila. Guaranteed shed time for old Bro. JACKPOT 🙂

    C&C always welcome

    Cheers Brody

Nice Brody Very Nice What did you carve the lines with a carving gouge or did you use a power carver?

Also my wife has now seen this so I have a bone to pick with you 🙂

Dunc, they’re both equally bad for your teeth when you chew them:-D

Ed mate, very sorry. Didn’t mean to get you in trouble 😀

I used a dremel for the carved lines with a cut off wheel. Gave nice neat lines and the burning added a nice bit of colour.

    Cheers
