Had a wee bit of spin time this weekend, so made a present for the wife. And yes, it was loosely based around a poular February theme:-D
A Purpleheart box and finial, with a spalted beech inset lid. All finished with some texture courtesy of a dremel and, voila. Guaranteed shed time for old Bro. JACKPOT 🙂

Nice Brody Very Nice What did you carve the lines with a carving gouge or did you use a power carver?

I used a dremel for the carved lines with a cut off wheel. Gave nice neat lines and the burning added a nice bit of colour.
