Made this for my pen blanks to give fast consistent cuts on my bandsaw. Made from reclaimed materials. The base is an old draw front, and the ally chanel was left over from a job at work. Ive cut a grove in the channel to allow the adjuster to slide, then marked the points of the most common pens I turn. Not at work this weekend so I can feel some shed time coming on.

    Hi Brody

Great see the jigs other woodturners use, it always speeds up a process. Does this jig just cut the pen blank to length?

    Thanks

Cheers ed. Yes, it’s for sizing the blanks length, with an extra 1/8″ on each end for trimming. It’s not really useful for just one pen, but when I’m making a batch it saves a lot of time usually spent marking blanks with the tubes.

I’ve got other ones for cutting consistent celtic bands, and a home made press for laminated/segmented blanks.

    Cheers    Brody
