Well I’m not one for painting wood normally but we had a demo at our club last weekend and BJ who was doing the demo came up with loads of ideas so me being me thought I should give it a go.
I had a old piece of wood that was good for the fire so away I went and here is the result 360mm x 200mm Pot of Gold 🙂

Certainly different. Not one for painting wood either TBH. I like wood to look like wood, but that certainly looks well turned and proportions look good
I likethis Ed. I’ve no problem changing the appearance of wood, it can enhance it no end. What did you use for the colour and texture for this one?
hot melt glue, Chestnut Ebonising Lacquer, Green water based dye and topped of with Chestnut Gold Gilt Cream.
