    The wood is Thuya and was given to my by a friend to turn it’s a very oily wood so I only gave it a couple of coats of Chestnut Products finishing oil follow by a coat of Mircocrystal wax.

    Vase stands 180mm tall and is 100mm at it’s widest diameter wall thickness is around 3 to 4mm so it’s very light.

    Thuya is so oily it clogs the sanding cloth very quickly so took longer to clean the sanding cloth than sand the vase 🙂
