843 Unhandled Spindle Roughing Gouge made in the UK by Robert Sorby

This handleless roughing gouge allows the woodturner to turn and fit a handle of their own or it can be used with the Robert Sorby Sovereign system handles.

• 843 -3/4 Requires the SOV-CT tang collet to connect to the Sovereign System handle (not included). Please note that the 843 – 1.1/4 does not fit the Sovereign System

The 843 Unhandled Spindle Roughing Gouge is used to rough turn timber. You can shape parts of the tree with their wild bits sticking out or trim the edges off square cut spindles.

The profile of the roughing gouge is a low curve which gives a wider cutting surface, of which all can be used to trim the wood.

Made from high speed steel (HSS). These roughing gouges are as strong as they come, able to handle the most demanding tasks.

843 Unhandled Spindle Roughing Gouges are available in the following widths:

• 3/4″ (19mm).
• 1 1/4″ (32mm).
