Aluminium Powder

Aluminium powder looks like pewter when used as a filler.

This powdered aluminium can be mixed with epoxy resin or used with CA (super glue) to fill cracks and voids in the wood. Often used as a substitute for pewter because it gives a similar effect at a fraction of the cost.

When mixing with epoxy resin, mix until you have a thick stiff putty then fill the crack and let it set. Also can be used with CA, for best results partly fill the crack and then add CA and repeat until crack is fully filled.

The aluminium powder can be turned or sanded as required once the preferred glue has fully set.

Powdered aluminium filler is supplied in bags of 100g net weight.
