Twister FU-180 Woodturning Lathe is the smaller of the floor standing lathes from KS Drechselbedarf and can be purchased with or without the leg stand.

The Twister FU-180 is just as at home when mounted on a bench or free standing with the very strong heavy duty leg stand.

This smaller woodturning lathe packs a mighty punch with it’s 1.1 kilowatt motor delivering 1.5 horsepower at 230 volts. The Twister FU-180 woodturning lathe will handle bowl blank diameters up to 350mm (14″) and spindles 560mm (22″) long. If you add an extension bed to the lathe then you can turn spindles up to 960mm (37″). In addition, with the bed extension fitted on the lathe you could turn wood diameters up to 500mm (20″).

This woodturning lathe is very versatile with it’s fully rotating head stock offering the woodturner endless possibilities. The control box is magnetic so can be positioned where it is most convenient for the turner, and gives full control with it’s variable speed controller.

This woodturning lathe has a spindle thread of M33 x 3.5 and a 2 Morse taper (2MT) for its accessories. There is also a built in indexing system with a maximum 24 division.

Like the other lathes in this range there’s an Easy Plate accessory for the quick installation and removal of an extension bed.
